Dear Friends and Former Residents of Red Coconut RV Park,
We hope this message finds you well. It is with a mix of emotions that we write to you today. We have some
important news and we wanted to make sure you heard it from us first.
After more than four decades of being the proud stewards of Red Coconut RV Park, our family has made the
difficult decision to sell this iconic property. It's a bittersweet moment for us, as we reflect on the countless
memories, friendships, and experiences that have been shared within these beloved grounds. Red Coconut RV
Park has been our family's labor of love and a place of wonderful memories. It has been a privilege to be part of
your lives and to witness the joy and community that this place has nurtured.
Prior to Hurricane Ian, we were looking forward to celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of the park with you, as
it accepted its first visitors in 1925. While we are saddened that rebuilding the park is not feasible, we are also
thankful that we got to enjoy it for so long given that it was vulnerable to the impacts of a major storm.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of the Red Coconut
family over the years. Your presence, laughter, and the stories you've created here have enriched our lives
immeasurably and we hope that the community we worked so hard to create had the same positive impact in
your life. We also want to say thank you to all former employees of Red Coconut - working at the park was more
than a job for all of us, and your contributions helped to make the park a truly special place. While the physical
property is changing hands, please know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
You have been the lifeblood of this community, and your presence has made the Red Coconut what it is. Thank
you for allowing us to be a part of your family’s journey and for making Red Coconut the vibrant community it
has been.
Even as the property now transitions to new ownership, you will always remain part of the Red Coconut family.
Warmest regards,
The Myers Family
We understand that there will be many questions, but we hope everyone understands that this letter will be our
only comment for now.
